~Tablescape Thursday in Green~

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday, brought to you by our lovely and talented hostess, Susan, at www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com.  There are so many beautiful tables set just for your visit today…Susan’s blog is just a click away, and there are many participants just waiting for you to come by and say Hi!

I found these beautiful carnations in pink, white, and green.  I pictured them in one of my previous posts…the colors go with so many of my dishes, and I can place them in any room in the house…they look good everywhere.  I thought they were perfect with the quilt, purchased from Home Goods of course, being used here as a tablecloth.  I really like the look…it’s colorful, cozy, and really protects the table!

I remembered that I had a green and pink pitcher in the shed, so went to dig it out…then replaced it for the cut glass vase.  I’m not sure which I prefer…they each have their own look, but it seems that the pitcher is perkier for this color scheme…but then, I do love cut glass!

I found 4 of these gorgeous goblets at Home Goods on clearance…lucky me!

A set of 4 napkins in the perfect colors!  Where, you ask?  Why, Home Goods, where else?

This pretty shade of green is everywhere right now, and I happen to love green.  The plate is bordered by this sweet floral pattern.

This is my silverplate flatware that I use for semi-formal/casual.  I only use stainless steel for breakfast.   Not that I don’t like it, but I’ve had this flatware for over 20 years, and it’s still like new, so I decided it’s time to wear it out a little, before I’m no longer able to feed myself!  It’s made by International, and the pattern is Orleans.

I bought this little white teapot at an antique store several years ago, and just found the cream jug and sugar bowl at…drum roll, please…Home Goods!

I’m showing the teapot last because we will serve tea after the meal, along with some pie and ice cream!  I will show you the dessert cups and underplates on another Tablescape Thursday…they’re PINK!

Please keep our Amy in your prayers…she still desperately needs a miracle.  Keep our troops in your prayers too.  We want them all to come home safe and sound, and soon!  May God bless our great nation, the land that we love, the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone, and may God bless you all!

  12. Oh, Mary,
Your table setting is beautiful! I love the combination of pink and green. I am going to have to get to Home Goods. I am not familiar with this store but maybe there is one in Austin or some of the larger cities. I, too, love to use quilts as a table cover. Again, everything is lovely. Thanks for sharing. Vicki

  13. Hi Mary,
You combined colors and textures really well here. Somehow the quilt makes it cozy and casual but, at the same time, adds richness and romance. The goblets are very elegant ... have a vintage feel. Your silver flatware is beautiful and looks perfect with this setting. At first I wasn't sure about the change from crystal vase to the pitcher, but the colors in your napkins tied it all in and made it work. Nicely done!

  26. Hi Mary! I am just passing through, from tablescape to tablescape, but wanted to say how much I loved your today. I love the colors, the flowers, the napkins.. EVERYTHING! 27. I think you've outdone yourself on this one Mary. Everything is so pretty and you chose to feature my favorite shades of green and you threw in some pink and roses to make it even better. Everytime you do a new post, I find myself wanting to run to HomeGoods to find some more pretties for myself, but sadly, limited $$$ keeps me from doing that. At least I know I can always count on you to give me something new and pretty to look at.

Hope your week is going well. Enjoy what's left of it and have a great weekend!!

  29. I left one message last night, but just re-read your comment and wanted to reply to it. I also saw the white dishes (like my yellow ones) and they are so beautiful! They also come in a pretty pale blue, and a nice aqua (I saw them today at TJ Maxx!)

Yes, I'm running out of space to store dishes, I worry that those heavy dishes will cause my cabinets to fall off the wall!! LOL! (Perish the thought!!)

  33. Your tablescape is so pretty. I like the quilt and honestly I could use that in my house. These are colors that I tend to use all the time. I see your blog background is green too. I use so much green in my home because it is so easy to work with. Isn't this TT much more fun then cleaning our homes?
