It’s time for another Pink Saturday, brought to you by our lovely hostess, Beverly, at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com . Please visit Beverly to see all the pretty pinks that are on display for you to see today.
This darling pillow was given to me for my birthday last week by one of my tea club friends. I have often admired her beautiful embroidery work, whether it' was on a pillow or on a garment of her clothing. I was so delighted to receive this pillow…Sunbonnet Sue is one of my favorite patterns…she’s a classic and always in style...and because I have a lot of pink in my home, my friend chose this lovely shade of pink for my pillow, which goes so well in my living room!
A close up of the intricate detail of her work. She doesn’t miss a stitch! If only I could do that!
I actually did begin embroidering again, and enjoy it so much…when I can find the time. I bought several patterns and took a class, in which I actually finished a project. Now I need to put it together in either a pillow or a frame. In the meantime, I’m so happy with my little Sunbonnet Sue in pink!
Have a wonderful Pink Saturday, and don’t forget to keep “living in the pink!”
Mary
What a dear little pillow. I love special things like that, things that someone put a lot of time & love into.

Happy Pink Saturday Mary!
ReplyDeleteOh I love Sunbonnet Sue. When Heidi was born Moma had a lady that she knew make me a baby quilt for her bed, that had Sunbonnet Sue(s) on it. I just have cherished it all these years. Thank you for your prayers and love that you have shown my family with our precious Amy. We are still battling tonight as we speak. Country hugs and love, Sherry
Lovely.

Thank you dear Mary for letting me know about your participation in Paying It Forward. I know the struggle to stay connected in all one gets involved in. Thank you, sincerely for your kind words for my daughter. She is better tonight. A simple aspiration of fluid from around the liver has helped her immensely. She will continue in hospital for several days. Blessings to you and yours.

Hi Mary!
ReplyDeleteThank you so, so much for your continued prayers and love for my family and for our precious Amy Dawn. I just love her so much, and I am so thrilled that so many have adopted her to love as well. She loves life and God knows this and I believe he is listening to her as well. Amy said she told God, "What's mine is mine", and she was not giving up on life yet. She still had things to see and do. She is a fighter. Thank you Mary, I just can not thank you enough. All my love, Sherry
