Happy Friday, my blogging friends! The week-end is upon us, so I’m joining in with Kim, our adorable Friday Funnies hostess, to bring you some laughter for a fun and family filled two days away from the work grind! You can visit Amy by clicking on the button to the right.
“The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.” - Robert Bloch
“Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.”
“When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car. “
I’m also sharing my latest thrift store finds with you! These gorgeous depression glass plates were only $14 for the 5 of them….wooo-hoooo! I bought the darling Thanksgiving glasses at the Dollar Tree…they go perfectly together.
I finally have something in Autumn colors!
I put a paper towel inside the glass to show you the writing, but it still isn’t very clear . It says “FAMILY…Memories are made of this…smiles, laughter, hugs”, and “HOME…enjoy the little things…Home is where my heart is”. They are sooo sweet!
Now make yourself a nice hot cup of tea, and click on over to Kim’s! Hope you leave here smiling…come back tomorrow for photos of my hubby and me…we just celebrated 39 years of marriage!!!
You made me laugh. Great joke. The tableware is beautiful. Have a great weekend.

Oh Mary I needed a laugh, haha...I especially liked the grandpa one. lol I LOVE the dishes. Sooo pretty. And the glasses too are darling. You've given me a good idea. I am short 2 plates for one of my Thanksgiving tables, sooo I might pop (not that I move fast enough to pop anywhere) over to the antique shops in downtown. They have the cutest things sometimes at bargain prices. Oh, and I LOVE the napkin holder. Sooo pretty. Have a great week-end Mary, Hugs, Debbie

I like to laugh out loud. Thanks. ....We haven't visited Thrift Stores in quite sometime. We used to go quite often and Charlotte would find the kind of pretty things you have posted pictures of. Guess what I was looking for.

ReplyDeleteI have bought so many of those glasses. First I got myself 4 for a tablescape, then I thought well, I need 6 for Thanksgiving dinner...then I thought I better have 8 in case one breaks. Then I thought, was a perfect gift...so I went back...and I can't say I am done yet!!
