This was my post yesterday, but I'm going to add it to Spiritual Sundays, because I love this song so much, and I want all my blogging friends to hear it. Thank you, Charlotte and Ginger, for bringing us together for Spiritual Sundays...it always lifts me and gives me food for thought, as well as spiritual nudgings. Its Then Sings My Soul Saturday, with Amy at Signs, Miracles and Wonders. Thanks for being our gracious hostess, Amy!
"Then Sings My Soul". Think about that phrase...what makes your soul sing? I can't think of too many things that touch me to that depth...to my soul. Certainly nothing of this world. Yes, I love china and teacups, quilts and decorating my home. They make me happy, very happy, and I delight in making other people comfortable, sharing conversation, tea parties, and pretty surroundings. I don't know, though, if they make my soul sing. I can think of only one thing that I can't live without...the Lord Jesus...He makes my soul sing. Why? Because He is forever...he won't break, tarnish, wear out, or leave me...He is forever, and knowing that makes my soul sing. How long has it been since you talked with Him? How long since He made your soul sing?

Pray in earnest for America. In December, a proposed "Treaty of Copenhagen" would, if signed by our president, bring about the destruction of our sovereinty. We would be controlled by a World Government with powers beyond that any government currently has. I'm not a political person, so I was unaware that previous presidents, such as Wilson and Roosevelt, were in favor of a one world government, but the people of this country stopped it then. Now its up to us. Please contact your state's representative...next year will be too late. You can find a video of this on youtube.
God bless you...I have found that there are even more people in blogland that are in urgent need of prayer...urgent...a young mother that has days to live, Melanie's son, Andrew, and so many others. Even if you don't know their names, God does..please take their needs to the Lord in prayer today.
Have a wonderful week-end, be safe, and make the most of every day that you've been given!

Beautiful, Mary.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with every word you wrote here.
And I agree also that it is so important to pray for those who God puts on our hearts, we may not know them personally, we may not even remember their names, but so many times just before I fall asleep at night a story that I read on a blog will come to me and I will lift that person up in prayer. God Knows.
I love coming here, Mary. I really do. It's a place of peace.
I have a family member that is in such a hateful, hurtful, desperate place, and I just wish he could have just even one/tenth of your Faith.
It is such a desolate place to be without Faith.
God Bless you.
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
I love this song. I've been listening to it when I was a kid. It was great to hear it again today. And thanks for saying, "by next year it will be too late" I'm a bit of a procrastinator. It's perfect timing for you to have said that, and for me to have read it and be reminded to sort out my sense of urgency.
ReplyDeleteMary, I love your heart for prayer and spending time with our Lord. Yes, our country certainly needs prayer and there are many needs we learn of in our blogging community.
ReplyDeleteI loved the song. I posted one today sung by the same artist.
Thank you for sharing about the "Treaty of Copenhagen". I will check this out on YouTube. We need to be aware of things like this and speak up.
Hugs to you,
Debbie
What a lovely song. I so love all the old ones.
ReplyDeleteMary this song was great, I loved it. I so agree with you.. MANY things make me happy, kisses from my grandkids, a good book, decorating my home (or anything really, haha), long conversations with good friends, but NOTHING makes my soul sing but the Lord. I am definitely going to check out the "Treaty of Copenhagen" on YouTube. I so appreciate your heart and reminder to everybody for the need for prayer for our country....we CANNOT be negilent in this area. And I also know what you mean about the needs in blogland. My heart has been son burdened for these same precious people. Soo many heart joined together in prayer. Have a wonderful week-end, Mar. Blessings to you, Debbie
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about this treaty. I'm off to research this, thanks for bringing it to my attention!
ReplyDeleteLeann
I stand in agreement with you on the areas of prayer and I appreciate the beautiful song Mary.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful and peaceful weekend in the LORD.
Blessings
I've almost posted this song several times. It brings back great memories!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Mary....Have a wonderful weekend!~Hugs, Patti
ReplyDeleteThat was so pretty, thank you. Yes, I have heard about that treaty. We need to stand up for our country. I am doing all I can and praying for God to have mercy on us and to intervene. Praying for the needs of the others too ~
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my favorite songs when I was a teenager...the words still stir my heart...as did your testimony....
ReplyDeleteYour heart is sparkling with beauty for Jesus.
ReplyDeleteDear Mary, thank you for sharing this song with us. It's new to me but I enjoyed it instantly :o)
ReplyDeleteOh my dear, it's scary to see the Bible prophesy of a one-world government being ushered in drawing closer and closer. What we need to do is pray that unbelievers will take it as a sign that God is real and He will be coming back for is people at any time NOW!!
God bless your caring heart.
Love
Thank you so much for sharing about this treaty and the song is great. Happy Sunday to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteJust was so blessed by this song, sung by a very favorite singer of mine. I will join with you about this matter, I too am so concerned as to where this country is going.
Blessings,
Sue
Mary,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comment on my post about Kathleen King’s Memory Mitten Ministry! Kathleen is a wonderful young wife and mother who has helped many recapture their memories after the loss of a loved one. Though I have never met Kathleen in person, I was so stirred by her inspiring work that I wanted to write about it and share it with others! Have a great and beautiful Sunday! Coralie
Mary, so very nice to meet you. I came over from Spirtual Sundays, where I posted for the first time. I am really touched by your faith and your post. I live every day in amazement of God's kindness. I'm a single mom of 2 teen kids and in 2 months we need to relocate to a new city far from home. Please pray for us.
ReplyDeleteMay the sweet Lord continue to speak through your blog!
Yoli
That is a great question...what makes your soul sing? Great answer, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful song! Thank-you for wishing everyone a safe weekend. You have such a wonderful kind heart.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,
Ginger
Hello Mary, I too love that song. thank you for remembering it for us.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about so many people who need our prayers. We need to pray for them daily and diligently. We can never pray too much can we?
Most of all our country is need of prayer and action. I have no heard of that treaty.
Blessings to you for your caring soul.
Jeanne
Wonderful Song, I remember hearing it when I was young. We need to be in constant prayer , constant contact with my Lord,"for in him we live and breathe & have our being ".We do need to pray for others & for our country, This one world order is constantly trying to push itself over on us. The North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA is our biggest threat to sovereignty. It needs to be repealed .It is a first step leaving up to a North American Union.
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord bless You .

This song brought back many memories for me. We used to sing it sometimes in church years ago, as a consecration song. And Jim Reeves does it so well. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJim Reeves is a personal favorite of mine...and this song is one he sings beautifully! Thanks for sharing this with us on Spiritual Sunday. I have heard of this treaty and am praying for our country.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jean
Good Morning Mary!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful song this morning. I so love it. It sings in my soul.
Yes, I have heard about that treaty. We need to stand up for our country. I am doing all I can and praying for God to have mercy on us and to intervene. I know he is listening.
Happy November. Country hugs, Sherry
I like that question - What makes your soul sing? Great food for thought! I always enjoy your thoughts, thanks for posting them for us.
ReplyDeleteI'll listen to the song next (should have first.)
I didn't know about that treaty, will check it out as well. Has this been on FoxNews, I watch it a lot, but could have missed something about the treaty.
Thank you for commenting on my SS post. I didn't get many comments, sadly some Christians don't believe in that subject.
Katherine
Hi Mary~
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. Thanks for the uplifting song.
Prayer - the greatest gift a Believer can give another! The words of this old song are still as meaningful as always.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful new week...Kathy
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my post about Jason and Patti's engagement ring. How kind of the Lord to remind us that we are in a legal relationship and a love relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteHallelujah! What a Savior!
