Its almost midnight, and I just checked for new posts from my blog roll. I have been very hesitant over the last week, because I didn't want to see this one. We have lost sweet Amy Dawn, daughter of Debbie, niece of Sherry, and cousin of Heidi, our dear blogging friends. You may visit Sherry's blog by clicking on the angel to the right, and you can visit Debbie's blog by clicking here:

I am dedicating this wonderful song to Amy for "Then Sings My Soul Saturdays", because I know she is now gazing into the eyes of our beautiful Lord. We will miss you, Amy, and we will always remember you.

Oh thank you Mary.
ReplyDeleteWe just thank you and praise you for being such a wonderful and faithful friend. Debbie, Heidi and I have truly been blessed with such wonderful friends. You blogger friends are the ones who have helped us through these rough times. Thank you for your prayers, your love and your support. While I was home I was able to see all the beautiful cards, and wonderful love and words that each of you shared with Amy. She so loved "Mail Call". Debbie and I talked at great length while I was there, and we would like to carry on this ministry to others in need of love and support in the way of cards and small gifts, as it will keep Amy alive forever. It will be Amy's Mail Call, sent to all who are in need. Thank you again my wonderful friend. Love, Sherry
Dear Mary...

I am so sorry to hear about Amy.I remember a few weeks ago hearing about her and it broke my heart. I have a daughter named Amy Dawn and she is 32 now. I went to the site several times after hearing about her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Oh Mary I know exactly what you mean. Everytime I came on and checked my blog roll I was dreading the one I saw last night. It was late (for me) the house is full of company but I went on to check for news of Amy and sure enough there it was. I know for Amy it is a time to rejoice. She's in her Savior's presence, she is dancing on the streets of gold, earthly problems and sicknesses and pain behind her forever more, but my mothert's heart is just breaking for Debbie and the rest of their family. Thank you for posting this. The song is perfect and soo true. I will join all the others accross blogville who will pray for this wonderful family. And Sherry, I read your and Debbie's plans to do the "Amy's Mail Call" and what a wonderful idea and ministry this would be.. God's blessings and peace to you all, Debbie
ReplyDeleteAmy is held sweetly in His arms forever more.

Mary, this is such a sweet tribute. I cried my eyes out earlier when I read of her passing. I had been checking in frequently at Debbie's blog, and then I happened to see Sherry's and read that she was gone. I rejoice that she is dancing for joy today and in the presence of the Savior without whom we would be lost. PTL for his sacrifice for us!

So, so sorry about Amy. :-( May the family and friends feel the Lord's hope in looking forward to the reunion. "What a day that will be" is so appropriate...
ReplyDeleteBlessings Mary...Beautiful comforting song for that sweet angel Amy, now free of all pain and sickness. How wonderful of you to dedicate this precious song of Gaithers. May the family find comfort in the words of this song & from the Holy Comforter Himself through this very difficult time. I pray that your encouragement and others will continue to help them grieve and move through and onward 'til that day of glorious reunion. Bless you Mary for your kindness! May you enJOY TSMSS & be lifted up with songs that make your heart sing!

ReplyDeleteMary, thank you for sharing this beautiful song. I am rejoicing that Amy is no longer in pain and in heaven. I know how heartbroken all of her family is, and I pray for God's comfort and strength for them in the days ahead. We will all meet once again in heaven one of these days. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. Blessings to you and enjoy your weekend. Vicki
ReplyDeleteMary, what a perfect song to sing under the circumstances of Amy's passing. I too was saddened to read this news but at the same time glad that she is out of pain and ...into the arms of Jesus. But her family will miss her and need comforting until that day.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I met Sherrie in person. We had an AZ blogger luncheon several months ago. She is a delight.
Blessings,
Debbie

Hi Mary, What a beautiful dedication to Amy. I first learned of her passing from your post but couldn't comment then. Their whole family has been a great inspiration to all of us even amid their own struggles.
