I almost forgot to tell you. We always have a color or theme for our teas, and this time, while decorating in the cottage/shabby chic style for my home, I decided to have a Shabby Chic theme for the tea. I was quite curious what the ladies would wear, and they did a wonderful job of putting together elegant yet casual ensembles, just as they always do!
Also, I have always wanted white, shabby chic slipcovers for my dining chairs to be used only for summer teas. With only a week to go, I set out to get these slipcovers made in time.
Before & After
The pictures below are of the table, prior to the food going on – I always forget to take pictures of the food !
I moved the kitchen table into the family room, directly under the ceiling fan. Those rose petals were the lucky ones. My table had to get out their little wooden fans to keep cool! And that’s WITH air conditioning on!
and more Rose Petals smiling for you!
My granddaughter, on the left, and her best friend enjoy going to tea, too!
